Claire Phillips is a writer, humorist, copywriter and editor based in New York City. She graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College in 2019 with an English major, a creative writing concentration, and two departmental awards— the Haller Prize for excellence in the study of literature, and the Teichmann Prize for excellence in writing. Whatever the task, Claire brings the kind of diligent work ethic an over-compensating only child can singularly provide.

Claire spent all four years at Barnard as a writer and performer in Chowdah, Columbia University’s oldest sketch comedy group. She has completed level one improv at The Pit, and level one sketch writing at UCB. She currently performs with her improv group, Screw.
